Annette M. Rummel, president and chief executive officer of the Saginaw County Convention & Visitors Bureau, has proposed an I-675 tunnel under the Saginaw River. The idea, she says, is to allow boats passage into downtown. Don't believe me? Read the
Saginaw News. Of course, you have to remember that this kind of thing makes perfect sense to some people, especially if you're the type that wants to drive your sailboat to your downtown office building. You would need to yank out all the bridges and make tunnels. Perfectly logical.
